BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Each year, more than 70,000 people in the Brazos Valley face food insecurity. As prices continue to rise, so does that number.
One in five individuals, including a third of children and almost a third of senior citizens, experience food insecurity. USDA cuts to food programs could impact Brazos Valley families and schoolsThe Bridge Ministries, a Bryan organization, is working to fill more empty stomachs. The food pantry used to be stationed in Downtown Bryan, but it relocated just off of Texas Avenue last September. |
